What happens if I cannot drop off or pick up within business hours?
Most of our terminals operate during standard business hours (typically Mon-Fri). If you have a scheduling conflict, let us know 48 hours in advance. While we cannot always guarantee after-hours access, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule or suggest a nearby facility that offers more flexibility.
Are there any "hidden" fees at the terminal?
No. With Ortus Auto Movers, our quotes are transparent and flat-rate. The only potential additional cost would be a late pickup fee if you leave your car at the destination terminal beyond the agreed-upon free storage period (usually 3-5 days).
Can I authorize someone else to pick up my vehicle?
Yes. If you cannot pick up the vehicle yourself, provide us with the name of the authorized person in advance. They must present a valid government-issued ID that matches the authorization we have on file before our staff releases the vehicle.
Do I need insurance for the terminal stay?
No additional insurance is needed from your side. Your vehicle is covered by our comprehensive cargo liability insurance from the moment you sign the inspection report at the drop-off terminal until the moment you pick it up at the destination terminal.
Is it possible to drop off a non-running car at the terminal?
Yes, but you must specify this during the booking process. Not all terminals have the equipment to load non-running vehicles. We will ensure your vehicle is routed to a “full-service” terminal capable of handling non-running cars with winches.
How long is my car stored at the terminal after arrival?
Typically, we provide 3 to 5 business days of complimentary storage upon arrival at the destination terminal. After this period, a nominal daily storage fee may apply. We will always notify you well in advance so you have ample time to arrange your pickup.
